A New Milestone for Evolusi Bersatu Sdn Bhd
5th March 2026 saw a new milestone as Evolusi Bersatu Sdn Bhd and Berlian Mcdermott Sdn Bhd gathered together for the signing ceremony of subcontractor agreement and memorandum of Understanding at Evolusi Bersatu Sdn Bhd Headquarters @ Riverson, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
The historic event was also joined and witnessed by Mr. Chatchai Prakitrittanon, Head of Deepwater Development from PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) and Mr. Samson Shak, Executive Committee Member of Sabah Oil and Gas Service Council (SOGDC).
On 9 September 2025, McDermott International Ltd. was awarded a large offshore subsea contract by PTTEP Sabah Oil Limited for the Block H gas field expansion project, located offshore Sabah in East Malaysia, covering the Alum, Bemban, and Permai deepwater fields.
Under this award, McDermott will deliver Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) services for a carbon steel pipeline, along with the transportation and installation of subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines. This infrastructure supports the delivery of additional feed gas to the Petronas Floating Liquefied Natural Gas Dua facility, which has been producing from the Rotan and Buluh fields since 2021.
Operated by PTTEP on behalf of partners Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd and PT Pertamina Malaysia Exploration Production, the Block H development is a cornerstone of Malaysia’s deepwater gas strategy, with expansion expected to increase domestic gas supply, supporting long-term energy security and economic growth.
For the subcontractor agreement, Evolusi Bersatu Sdn Bhd will be supporting Mcdermott on the Provision of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) for Subsea Flowline and Installation of Subsea Hardware, Umbilicals, and Flexible Jumpers for Block H Phase 1B Project at Kota Kinabalu Port.
The two-part event also saw the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Evolusi Bersatu Sdn Bhd and Berlian Mcdermott Sdn Bhd establishing a framework for collaboration between Berlian McDermott Sdn. Bhd. and Evolusi Bersatu Sdn. Bhd., a proud local Sabahan company, to work together on strategic opportunities in the oil and gas industry, particularly here in Sabah, Malaysia.
The agreement reflects the mutual commitment of both parties to strengthen partnership collaboration, combine their capabilities and expertise, promote local talent and development, facilitate technology and knowledge transfer, and support potential projects in this region.
